Fring Now Available for Nokia 5800

Fring announced the launch of a brand new version of its award winning social community and communication service for the new and incredibly successful Nokia 5800 touch screen device.

This has been one of the most hotly anticipated fring launches ever; as soon as Nokia announced the launch of its 5800, fring’s forums, Twitter and Facebook pages have been red hot with fringsters asking for a new fring version to run on the device.

In response, fring created an early access group of around 100 users to receive R&D versions of the release and provide feedback during the development phase, helping fring to bring its 5800 version to market as quickly as possible and in line with exactly what users really wanted.

The result is a newly designed fring that takes advantage of all of the 5800’s great touch screen features, such as the ability to tilt the screen from profile to landscape and use of the on-screen keyboard.

France 24 is the first television channel in the world which is accessible live and on the 3G network on iPhone. The application "FRANCE 24 LIVE", which can be found on the Mobiclip distribution platform, is available free of charge from App Store. It allows users to display all the programmes from the France 24 channel in live streaming.

Mobiclip offers a unique experience on iPhone, allowing access to flux TV from the "chaine d'information internationale" (French International News Network) of a high quality and via whatever network is available: Edge, 3G or WiFi. The Mobiclip platform for France 24 is personalised with the colours of the channel. It offers three live television channels in French, English and Arabic.

The latest news and several magazine programmes are also available via the application, by streaming or by download.

"We are proud to provide the first application to view live television on the 3G network on iPhone. We pay great attention to the comments of the users as we continually make improvements. More than 100,000 users have already opted for the France 24 Live application on the telephone." André Pagnac, PDG (President) of Mobiclip Inc. said.

Mobiclip technology Mobiclip is a video distribution platform, live or on demand, via the mobile phones Symbian, Windows Mobile and iPhone. It is marketed as a own-brand product and delivered "turnkey" to television channels and to the programme editors.

On the telephone of the end user, the Mobiclip application adopts all the graphic elements of the channel and appears in the main menu of the telephone. The Mobiclip company foresees a rapid uptake of its platform everywhere in the world among its international clients.

Nokia Announces the 8208 for Select CDMA Markets

Nokia announced an exciting new mobile device for its select CDMA markets outside the US. The 3G speed, music capability and elegant, dual–slide function of this device brings consumers high-speed, high tech combined with good looks. With its uncomplicated functionality, the new Nokia 8208 gives consumers a range of features, while turning heads with its design.

“We instinctively wanted to carry out a very modern look and feel in the design of our new devices, and to bring consumers a wide range of features,” said Larry Paulson, Nokia Senior Vice President, CDMA Devices. “Consumers want devices that are beautiful to look at and reflect their individuality, but also have the functionality that keeps them connected to their world easily. This device echoes our goal to broaden the Nokia portfolio of high tech, yet stylish devices in select global CDMA markets.”

The sophisticated Nokia 8208 features a smooth, dual-slide form factor, and packs a dose of entertainment with its MP3 music player and 3 megapixel camera. The Nokia 8208 provides easy access to tunes through the phone’s dedicated music buttons, where music can be played for up to 20 continuous hours. Moments in life are captured in crisp, clear photos with the 3.0 megapixel camera.

For easy music storage, a 16GB external memory card slot holds up to approximately 4,000 songs in AAC+ and MP3 digital music formats. With the super fast 3G connection, no more waiting around to get to the things you most like to use. The Nokia 8208 is expected to launch in select CDMA markets, in the first quarter of 2009.
